I have found a way to exercise those slightly pudgy ferts in your house.
First you must go out and buy a sit and spin. Those with kids will know
what I'm talking about,or perhaps you remember that dizzy feeling from
childhood. It's basically a large lazy susan with something for the kids to
hang on to,so centrifugal force doesn't send them flying across the room.
The same can't be said for their dinner though.Place the pudgy fert on the
toy and start turning it around and around. There you have it,instant
circular tread mill. You get even better results if you attach a raisin to
the top part,so they're trying to get to the goody.Ours think it's a game
to try to get to the other side.Sometimes they just go for a ferret go
round ride, but eventually they get up and work on that raisin tummy.
Caution, going to fast may result in flat ferrets on the wall, stumbling
ferts or food stains on carpeting.I am not an exercise expert,so use your
own judgment.
I think the strangest thing my ferret has been called was a dog. This was by
a little old lady sitting in front of the grocery store,as I waited for my
husband to come out.I was letting Jasmine run around for a potty break and
I heard this lady ask if she could pet the puppy. What could I say,I let her
pet the puppy. As she was leaving with her daughter, she waved at us and said
bye bye to the puppy.Jasmine and I just looked at each other and sighed. My
husband laughed all the way home, when I told him what had happened. To this
day he will look at Jasmine and ask how the puppy is doing today.
