YES, IT IS OFFICIAL.  THE INK HAS DRIED AND THE ORDINANCE IS IN EFFECT.
DOMESTIC FERRETS ARE NOW LEGAL TO OWN AS PETS IN SALT LAKE COUNTY, UTAH,
EXCLUDING SANDY AND DRAPER CITIES.
 
BUT WHAT IS EVEN MORE EXCITING IS THE FACT IS THAT THEY ARE GRANTED THE
SAME TEN 10 DAY QUARANTINE FOR BITING, JUST LIKE DOGS AND CATS.
 
Its been five years of meetings, petitions, letters, telephone calls and
being a royal pain in the as..... to local politicians, but as it was
mentioned to me, legalizing and protecting ferrets was worth it if it got
me out of their hair.  Whooyaaaaaaaa.
 
Ferrets of Utah, congratulations...........Party time, raisins for
