I haven't yet contructed an outdoor playpen but I've given it alot of
thought.  My biggest concern, as is most everyone's, is that they might
dig out so ... my brilliant idea is to buy a hard plastic kiddie pool.
You know, the ones you can buy for a few bucks at Wal*Mart.  I would dig
a hole as deep as the pool, sink the pool in it, fill it full of the dirt
and then put the fencining just within the perimeter of the pool.  My
thinking is that they would only be able to dig as deep as the pool (then
they would hit the hard plastic) and they wouldn't be able to dig out under
the fencing either as the fencing would be right inside the edge of the
sunken pool.
 
Does this sound like a good idea to anyone??
