Ah, "Heloise" (the column continues her mother's name)!  If memory serves
I recall when she used to have a little albino ferret who she bathed in
either the kitchen sink or a laundry room tub using the hand-held sprayer.
That was quite some time ago.
 
She might enjoy knowing how much more is now known about ferret medical
needs.  When you send her your thank you letter for having your pet up as
pet of the week, please, give her the webpage location for
http://www.ferretcentral.org  (Note the .org -- not .com which something
much more recent and less informative.) so she can look around.
