There is an alternative treatment for helicobacter and ulcers than the
standard and much hated flagyl and pepto.  I've used Biaixin and carafate
with great success, and while not yummy, it's better tolerated by ferrets.
 
Biaixin is moderately expensive, but I've gotten the pharmacy to provide it
unmixed, so I could divide it up and mix as needed.  The dosage is 50 mg/kg
once a day for 14 days.  See the Helicobacter FAQ at Ferret Central for
