As much as completely abhor the thought of torturing my little girl by
putting clothes on her, I feel that she might be more comfortable (I am
hoping) with one. This is because she has a feeding tube that hangs down
and she trips over it, so I was hoping a little shirt might help it stay
out of her way. So last week I spent all day and searched every pet store
within a 45 minute radius to find one. I finally found one made for
ferrets (I had seen some for tiny dogs, but the sleeves were ridiculously
long!) in her size (1-2 pound range..she is ~1.8). Very worn out, but
excited, I returned home and tortured the poor girl for 5 minutes wrestling
to get it on her. Well, once I let her go, she ran straight into her play
tube and less than a minute later she appeared with the shirt around her
waist! After I stopped feeling completely guilty for putting her through
all that, I was very annoyed that this stupid shirt came off so quickly!
Has anyone had any success with keeping a shirt on your fuzzy, or have any
other tips that might help her? I saw a little t-shirt at The Ferret Store
and they had little sleeves and I was wondering if this might be better.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Please email me at:
