I bought a new ferret about 2 months ago. She was nippy when we got her,
but I figured it was because she was a kit. She is almost 4 months old
now and she is near to being viscious. She bites hard, many times drawing
blood, attacks me whenever I reach into their cage to get something or even
just picking something up off the floor. I have 2 sables that are almost
a year old now and the female was slightly nippy at first but got over it
fairly quickly. I am unsure of what to do with the new albino female.
It's to the point where I don't want to even be near her, which in turn
makes it more difficult for me to spend time with the other 2 as well.
Any ideas on how to handle this?
I've tried many forms of scolding, scruffing, cage isolation, etc. But
nothing seems to work. Help please?
Thank You,
Shane
