For any SF fans out there, I just came across a short story which has a
ferret in a pretty strong role. The story is "Grist" by Tony Daniel, and
appears in the sixteenth annual collection of _The Year's Best Science
Fiction_, edited by Gardner Dozois. ISBN 0312204450. Its actually a
fairly bizarre story; I haven't quite decided if I like it or not. It
does have a scene of a jill hunting a mama rat and her babies, which seemed
to be pretty accurate in showing ferret hunting behavior. Just thought of
the FML while reading the story, and thought I'd share.

Thanks
RD
