WOW! It's been a busy week. We took in 15 ferrets last Friday and none of
them were fixed but 4. They really make mommy sad especially one tiny girl
named Meesha. Because she was confined in a small cage and never let out
to play, she exhibits behaviour much like a circus cat does. She paces
back and forth neurotically all day while she is awake. Auntie Amy says
that like in circus cats, the pacing releases endorphins that the animal
gets addicted to and it becomes an obsessive, compulsive behaviour. Mom's
really worried about this little girl.
The others are are doing well and most of them have been fixed already
(Thank you Animal Hospital of High Park for donating some services!). The
rest will be done this week hopefully. Dr. Parker is coming for a visit to
vaccinate us kids and check out a bunch of the new kids too. She always
brings Kali her dog and we get to chase her around the house. That's so
much fun!
Tugger is still in the hospital. He's doing a bit better, but is still not
100% better. He'll probably come home this week (yikes we have no where to
put him). Some of our friends have expressed a desire to help us with the
overload of ferrets and become fosters. Auntie Paige will be in contact
with you shortly to work everything out.
Love to all!!
