Help!

Tank, one of my ferrets (a fixed male), is having a urinary problem. At
first I thought it was an infection, because he would frequently drag
himself over things, "marking" them. Amoxicillin didn't do anything,
however, and an X-ray showed no stones or visible blockages. After close
observation, I've come to the conclusion that it's a problem with
evacuation. On being let out of the cage after waking up, he'll pee a tiny
amount, and then pee a tiny amount several more times every few minutes,
usually wherever he happens to be standing. After about 15 minutes of
chasing him around with toilet paper and Nil-Oder, he's fine for about 40
more minutes (until he makes more pee, I guess). Another reason that I
think it's a problem with evacuation is that Snowy, my tiny (fixed) female
peed on some linoleum, and Tank then peed next to her puddle. Her puddle
was 4-5 times the size of his, and she's about half his size.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Any causes/cures? We're buying
a new house, and my husband is sure to demand that any incontinent ferrets
be confined to the basement.
