Hi folks,
(1)
Someone posted that ferrets were illegal in NYC , and I believe that this is
no longer the case. We were able to get licenses from the Dept of Fish and
Wildlife in Albany for our NYC ferrets. If the ferrets bite someone, there will
be trouble, but we take the licenses and records of vaccination with us on
walks ourdoors with the pets;if cops stop us we can show them that we're legit.
Anyway, does someone else have confirming info on this?
[We had heard that legislation was being introduced in NY State to make it
difficult to own and/or transport ferrets into the state.]
(2) Someone asked about vets... in RI try Povar Animal Hospital in East Provi-
dence... I forget the number, but you can call the 401 area code information.
In NYC, we use Dr. Karen Rosenthal at the Animal Medical Center... she has a
specialty in ferret medicine.

Thanks Bruce for the info on ferret signs of dying. It does not sound like
Roddenberry is on the verge since he does wander a half hour total a day and
his intake, while less than before, is still happening.
cheers,
Pyrophage
