I have patiently read and re-read request for financing a bronze memorial
for a recently deceased ferret. I'm questioning the judgement used in this
request as I read posts asking for help in this forum, from many selfless
caregivers of the many shelters that contribute here. Shelter owners who
have given everything they can to provide comfort and dignity to their
charges.
I can certainly understand the wishes to offer a form of "remembrances" to
a lost pet. Lord knows we have all lost kids who's memories still touch
out hearts in that special way. BUT, don=92t you think these contributions
would be better used for food, or medication, even a few rare toys for
these shelter kids.
In my humble opinion, the request is a bit self serving, and certainly an
extravagance for many. Lets think about the ones with us today.
