I've been leaving a radio on in the room for the ferrets during the day,
when they are out of the cage. I tend to leave it on a 'oldies' station
(as I'm an 'oldie', and when listening to 'oldies' cleaning ferret poop
doesn't seem so bad!) This morning, as I was getting ready to leave, I
noticed that the usual station was off the air, so I just dialed to the
next available station, got the ferrets up, petted, treated, and I left.
As I was leaving, I heard 'country music' start playing.... It's not my
choice, but I thought a change might be nice for the ferrets, so I went on
to work. Got home this evening, and there was a fair amount of poop just
inside the door (not in the litterbox), and what's even weirder, was the
radio was back on the 'oldies'.... Question--was the poop inside the door a
'statement'? and should I be concerned that they have specialized musical
tastes? and the ability to change radio stations? If I do put a TV in
their room, should they be allowed cable? or just Network TV??
