Love the toy ideas everyone has been posting. Thought I'd add one I
haven't seen anyone else post yet. One of Mischief and Max's most favorite
toys is a flyswatter. I picked up a couple last summer at Big Lots for
a dollar when I had a fly get in the house and stay for about a week.
They're the cheap kind with a wire handle and plastic 'swatter'. A couple
of weeks after I got Mischief (December '99) she found the swatter under my
chair and dragged it out. I grabbed it and started dragging it around on
the carpet in front of her and she went crazy jumping around, dooking and
pouncing on it! Hold it in the air over her head and she'll jump
repeatedly to try to catch it.

When Max joined us at the end of January he found the 'swatter to be just
as wonderful.

This is a 'supervised only' toy just in case they decide the plastic
swatter needs to be chewed up. I inspect the swatters regularly for
signs of chewing - none so far but I won't take chances.

Another favorite is the plastic bags the newspaper comes in when the
weather is wet. Cut the closed end so they can run through it - they love
these. And I love watching them play 'dueling sharks' when they both run
into the same bag from opposite ends.

Hugs to all the fuzzies and prayers for the sick.

Melissa, Mischief & Max
