Muttley Triskadeckfert, my 13th ferret, has joined the others at the
Rainbow Bridge.  this morning I looked in to make certain the kids were
okay.  Muttley had been ill the past few days.  I went in to the room at
5pm to find he had left us.  Dookesbury and Furrice are showing the
symptoms as the others did.  Dookesbury was in the cage with Muttley.  I
think he had no idea that his cagemate had left.
 
One thing that really surprises me is that the larger ones are leaving
first.  Rascal, Socks, Muttley, and Dooks are all large, active kids
between 3 & 4 pounds.  They were all between a few months to 2 years.
Furrice, my first fert, is a small little thing that can still curl up
in my palm.
 
I'm still hoping for a miracle for Christmas.  though, at this rate, it
seems none of my kids may be around to share it with me.
