Does anyone know if there is any particular reason ferrets have quite long
tails? Something I've always wondered about.. Doesn't seem to be for
balance, and a lot of burrowing animals seem to have lost tails (like
rabbits). Also, the scent they give off from thier tails, I remember
people commenting on it a while ago.. Did anyone ever figure out what it
was? :)
About those drop bins.. Last post, someone said, "They were only emptied
twice a day". *only* twice a day? Somehow, I just don't see a constant
stream of people, lining up 24/7 to drop of thier pets. I can't see how
there would be any more than a handful of animals there at the most. Twice
a day is pretty good, no animals going to be there more that a few hours.
Also, the one I saw in the photo kept cats and dogs seperate from (I
presume all other animals), and I don't think anyones going to fit a lion
or a horse down there, I really don't think it's too likely anythings going
to bother a ferret down there. I say again, rather a ferret (or anything
else) spent some time down a chute in the dark that spent a few minutes
(and nothing more) in a bag underwater.
