You may get this message twice since I tried two different paths.
I have a 2yr old female spayed ferret named Dixie (short for Dixie
the Destructor, Demon Ferret from Hell). She's quite well behaved
but is very choosy about who she likes and dislikes. As a general
rule she doesn't like girls except for other ferret owners. She gets
along well with other ferrets and with dogs she will try to get away
with as much as she can. The time comes to mind when she was chasing
a very scared looking 75 pound German Short Haired pointer around the
house. Size ratios mean very little to her. So far I've taught her
to roll over and to sit up which she'll do in return for a drop of
Linotone (sp?).
Unfortunately ferrets are illegal in [state] so I don't get
to take her outside as much as I would like. This also makes getting
vet care difficult. Hopefully the law that makes them illegal to
own will be repealed within the next couple of years. Once it is,
I will take her with me to many places. She loves to go out as long
as she can sleep in my jacket. According to a ranger, she is most
likely the first ferret to climb Mount Washington (actually she didn't
really climb so much as was carried).
Dixie's favorite toys are:
1) A 3 foot piece of surgical tubing tied to a chair. Keeps her
busy for hours and she always manages to get it undone.
2) A small remote control car. Ferret vs. machine. The ferret
usually wins.
3) Shoes, the more they smell, the better.
4) Wind up mouse.
5) A ferret sized cardboard tube.
I'd be interrested in any back copies of the list that you have so far.
