Randy, to answer your question... no, I am not a vet, vet tech or in the
medical field in any way. I'm simply someone who has had ferrets for 15+
years and worked closely with our local ferret shelter for the last 8 or 9
years. I tend to devour everything I can find on the health and care of
ferrets and have gained a little bit of knowledge and experience along
the way. But I don't consider myself to be an expert by any stretch. I
believe I know a lot about some aspects and a lot less about others.
Don't get me wrong, I have no reason to doubt that you do a wonderful job
of caring for ferrets, rescuing ferrets, providing shelter, help and
information. Basically, doing it "for the ferrets" as I like to say, and
not for any sort of personal gain, just as many shelter operators do daily.
