Hi FMLers,
I need to know of any PREVENTATIVE measures that I can take to help my
4 year-old male ferret combat urinary tract infections. Special Diet,
adding things to his food, supplements, treatments, ANYTHING!
The poor little guy spent the weekend in emergency with a urethral
blockage. I have also heard that urinary tract infections can be early
symptoms of adrenal disease...Is this true?? He has NO other symptoms,
0% hair loss.
Test results indicate NO protein plugs, crystals or kidney stones...just
HIGH levels of Bacterial cocci.
Our current diet is 8 in 1 Ultimate dry food alternating with 8 in 1 wet
cans. I also sprinkle a bit of Brewers Yeast with garlic in the bowl.
In the past we had had Totally Ferret, but they seem to prefer 8 in 1
Ultimate.
Any advice is GREATLY appreciated. Please reply to:
